ACLS BLS NIHSS Neuro and Trauma Care experience Description: The unit has 44 beds and employs 95 staff members. Day shift staffing includes 2 CNC/Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 HUC. Night shift staffing includes 2 CNC/Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 HUC. Patient ratios are 4:1 at grid and 5:1 stretched. Common equipment includes IV pumps, Skylifts, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts. The unit uses an electronic medical record system. Typical procedures performed include neuro and spinal checks, C-Collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tube insertion, PCA pump management, IV infusions, lumbar drain placement, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions. The ideal candidate will be a team player focused on patient care. Every other weekend commitment is required.
