Experience: Minimum of 2 years in IMC/PCU/MS Float Pool required.
License: Valid Nursing License required.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required.
Must-Have:
Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment.
Experience with telemetry and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is required.
Description:
This position requires the nurse to float between IMC and medical units.
Occasionally, the nurse may take medicine/IMC level boarders in the ED and ICU if needed.
Patient ratios are 1:4 for IMC and 1:5-6 for MedSurg/Telemetry.
The IMC unit consists of 15 beds, the MedSurg unit has 44 beds, and the Telemetry unit has 34 beds.
All employees are required to have the flu vaccine, with no exemptions.
Scrubs are not provided. The required color is Caribbean Blue.
Nurses will report to the staffing office for float assignments.
Weekends and holidays are required based on hospital needs.
Candidates should be familiar with accessing and managing ports, biPAP/CPAP management, and cardiac telemetry.
Skills should also include wound care, telemetry monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias.
Nurses will provide care for patients of varying diagnoses.
No requested time off is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, and no more than 7 days of requested time off is allowed for the entire contract.
Compliance requirements must be completed promptly before starting the position.
Candidates must submit two supervisory references that confirm at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years.
