Must-Have:
Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience required.
Must have completed at least one travel assignment.
Every other weekend coverage required.
Float required to Tele and/or MS as needed.
Description:

Locals within a specified distance accepted.
ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
The facility requires that all employees have the Flu vaccine with no exemptions.
Previous charge experience is preferred.
Patient ratio experience of 4-6 is desired.
Candidates must have 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years.
Travel experience is required.
Candidates should have skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care/management, chest tubes, and CVA management.
Knowledge in feeding tube care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias is essential.
Candidates should be familiar with isolation precautions and IV insulin protocols.
Experience in managing cardiac drips, telemetry monitoring, pre/post hemodialysis management, and peripheral line care is needed.
The patient population includes adults with various diagnoses such as sepsis, COPD, and diabetes.
Special procedures performed include chest tube management and bedside monitoring.
Equipment utilized includes bedside monitoring for patients, ultrasound IVs, and cardiac monitoring tools.
The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary support services, including therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Every other weekend coverage is mandatory, and unit will direct weekend coverage based on operational needs.
Candidates should be prepared to float to Tele and MS units as needed, with different nurse-to-patient ratios on those units.
No on-call duty is required.
No requested time off is permitted during the initial two weeks of work.
