Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Georgia

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio; every other weekend required; rotating holiday coverage based on assignment period
Highlights:
- 36-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neuro/stroke, respiratory, cardiac, and mixed medical patients
- Average daily census of 30 patients with continuous telemetry monitoring
- Experience with titrating cardiac drips, managing dysrhythmias, and PCU-level acuity required
- Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
- Interdisciplinary team support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, radiology, and rapid response teams
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed; no on-call requirements
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state license accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Proficiency in cardiac drip titration, telemetry monitoring, and progressive care unit competencies
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, and non-invasive airway management
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Full compliance required prior to start date; all documentation due Tuesday before orientation
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
