The unit is designed for patients requiring a higher level of monitoring and care. It has a total of 14 beds available for patient care. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 4:1 during the night shift. Staff includes day shift RNs and patient care technicians. Typical equipment used in the unit includes chest tubes, IV pumps, and various drains. Electronic medical records are managed using Meditech. Candidates should have knowledge of medication drips, central lines, and catch recovery procedures. No invasive procedures are performed in this unit. The ideal candidate will be positive, patient-centered, and a critical thinker. Team players who are engaged in their work are encouraged to apply.
