Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of recent experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. PCU, IMC, or Stepdown experience required. Must have completed at least one travel assignment. Every other weekend coverage required. Float required to Telemetry and/or Medical Surgical units as needed. Description: Looking for a Registered Nurse to join the Intermediate Care unit. This position is for night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. The nurse will provide care for patients with a variety of diagnoses. Patient ratios will typically be 1:4 in the Intermediate Care unit. Ratios may differ when floated to other units, such as Telemetry or Medical Surgical. Candidates must have experience in managing BiPAP/CPAP, central lines, chest tubes, and various cardiac protocols. Experience with hemodialysis management, IV insulin protocols, and oxygen administration is required. Nurses will work closely with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy and Social Services. Special procedures may include PCA infusions and bedside monitoring. Strong critical thinking and assessment skills are essential for success in this role. The unit requires flexibility to meet operational needs, including weekend shifts and potential floating.
