Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,969 per week in Winston Salem, NC

Job Opportunity - Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry - North Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week, every other weekend required. Assignment length 13-26 weeks available. Up to 7 days pre-approved time off (no holidays).

Highlights:

• 48-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit with mixed acuity including PCU and Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:4-5, with 1:6 in extreme situations; enhanced support team includes Admission/Discharge Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager, RRT, Code Team, and Vascular Access Team
• Patient population includes COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, acute respiratory failure, chest tubes, ventilators (chronic trach/vent patients), BiPAP/CPAP management, and telemetry monitoring
• Epic EMR, Pyxis medication management, SBAR communication system
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Services, Physical Therapy, IV Teams, Pharmacy, and Behavioral Health Team
• 24 hours of orientation with EKG competency testing prior to start

Requirements:

• Current North Carolina or Compact state RN license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Experience with IV starts, ventilators, telemetry, BiPAP/CPAP, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience managing 1:6 patient ratios
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates considered
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must be willing to float to like units as needed
