Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro Medical/Surgical Unit – Tennessee

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, including 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
Highlights:
- 20-bed Neuro Medical/Surgical unit at a Comprehensive Stroke Center, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, and Certified Chest Pain Center
- Patient ratio of 6:1 with tech support on day and night shifts, unit secretary coverage from 7a-7p
- Modern equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, continuous pulse oximetry, PCA, feeding pumps, and iMobile communication technology
- Documentation in Meditech EMR system
- Floating policy prioritizes contract labor by rotation, ensuring fair distribution
- Bedside shift report and patient-centered care culture emphasizing personal connections and family involvement
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification required
- Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize care and multitask effectively
- Proficiency in IV starts, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
- Adherence to dress code: navy scrubs, tops and bottoms
