Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical/Surgical Neuro Unit – Tennessee

Start Date: September 7, 2026

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Rotating shifts with weekend requirements; 6:1 patient ratio on Acute Care, 4:1 on Neuro Stepdown

Highlights:

  • 30-bed unit: 22 Acute Care beds and 8 Neuro Stepdown beds specializing in stroke and neurological care
  • Work with diverse equipment including high flow oxygen, chest tubes, Vapotherm, BiPap, trachs, and titrating cardiac drips

  • Supportive team environment with RN Charge Nurse, 1-2 Techs, and unit secretary on duty
  • Common procedures include lumbar punctures and chest tube placements

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in Tennessee (or ability to obtain)
  • BLS certification required for Acute Care positions
  • BLS and ACLS certification required for Neuro Stepdown positions
  • Strong nursing skills and time management abilities for Acute Care
  • Stepdown experience preferred for Neuro Stepdown positions
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
