Job Opportunity – Float Pool RN – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/Progressive Care – Georgia

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Georgia

Schedule: 13-week assignment with every other weekend coverage (average 6 weekends per contract). Float pool role requiring flexibility across multiple units including Medical-Surgical, Medical-Surgical Telemetry, and Progressive Care units. Maximum 7 days of requested time off. Holiday coverage required based on assignment period.

Highlights:

• Float pool position covering MS, MS/Telemetry, and PCU units throughout the facility
• Patient ratios: 1:4-5 for PCU; 1:5-6 for MS and MS/Telemetry
• Epic EMR system required; Pyxis and SBAR communication utilized
• Patient population includes adults to geriatrics with diverse diagnoses across all protentional MS, MS Tele, and PCU conditions
• No call requirements; 24 hours of orientation provided
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6 for MS/Telemetry and 1:4-5 for PCU
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, insulin protocols, and ventilated patient care
• Skills including central line management, arterial line management, chest tubes, wound care, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
• Full compliance documentation due by Tuesday prior to start date
