Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Neurology/Acute Care) – Tennessee

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Schedule: Variable scheduling with weekend shifts required; staffing includes RN Charge, 1-2 technicians, and unit secretary support

Highlights:

• 30-bed unit comprised of 22 acute care beds and 8 neuro stepdown beds
• Patient ratios of 6:1 on acute care and 4:1 on neuro stepdown
• Comprehensive stroke care with advanced equipment including Vapotherm, Bipap, tracheostomy management, and titrating cardiac drips
• Meditech EMR system for documentation
• Float opportunities available for experienced nurses after orientation
• Excellent stepping stone for nurses interested in advancing to ICU settings

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state license
• BLS certification required for all positions
• ACLS certification required for neuro stepdown positions
• Strong acute care nursing skills with excellent time management abilities
• Stepdown experience preferred for neuro stepdown assignments
• Critical thinking skills and ability to manage complex patient populations
• Proficiency with procedures including lumbar puncture and chest tube placement
