Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit RN – Tennessee

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; self-scheduling available within staffing parameters; block scheduling accommodated for night shift; 48-hour guarantee available

  • 29-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac, medical, and complex surgical patients
  • 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio with dedicated unit secretary and 2-3 PCTs per shift
  • Comprehensive drip management including cardiac medications (Dopamine, Dobutrex, Nitro, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Precedex, and others)
  • Advanced technology including iMobile devices for encrypted communication, Patient Keeper chart access, and MobiLab specimen collection
  • Meditech EMR system with Phillips telemetry and monitoring equipment
  • Strong team-oriented culture with high employee engagement and patient satisfaction ratings
Requirements:
  • Active RN license in good standing
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Cardiac/telemetry experience required
  • Progressive Care Unit and/or critical care experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced skills: IV insertion, chest tube management, DHT insertion/management, tracheostomy care, central line management, EKG interpretation, and early patient mobility
  • Experience with complex patient populations including post-operative cardiac surgery (CABG, valve surgery), sepsis, stroke, MI, respiratory failure, DKA, and neurosurgery patients
