Staff will be expected to float throughout the facility. Areas include Emergency Department, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU. Flexible scheduling is required due to float pool responsibilities. No schedule requests will be accommodated. Every other weekend work is expected. No call is required for this position. If a major holiday falls within the assignment period, work is expected. If two major holidays fall within the assignment period, work is expected on both. If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, work is expected on two of the holidays. Nurses will care for post-surgical, medical, and PCU stepdown patients. Special procedures include holding patients in the Emergency Department. Nurses will engage in interdisciplinary support including physical therapy and respiratory services. Skills required include care of ventilated patients and management of cardiac drips without titration. Isolation precautions and PPE usage are essential. Telemetry experience, including monitoring, is required. Nurses will manage peripheral IVs and PICC lines. Experience in rapid response and code teams is beneficial.
