Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Charge Experience - Patient Ratio Experience: 4-6 - Charting System Experience (Preferred): Epic - Travel Experience Description: These positions will be hospital float pool staff. Staff will be expected to float throughout the hospital. This includes the Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU. Patient ratios can be up to 1:7 in Med-Surg. Due to the float pool nature, candidates must be flexible with scheduling. No schedule requests can be accommodated. Every other weekend work is required. No call is required for this position. Compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory for timely start. Travelers may be expected to work major holidays as scheduled. Staff will care for post-surgical, medical, PCU stepdown patients on inpatient units and as hold patients in the ER. The role requires proficiency in various skills including cardiac telemetry, management of ventilated patients, and interpreting dysrhythmias, among others. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment and teamwork capabilities. Candidates should have experience with interdisciplinary support teams such as Physical Therapy and Social Services. This position involves working with adult and geriatric patient populations.
