- Must be comfortable with patient ratios of 1:4-5 in step down and 1:5-6 in med-surg.
- Must be willing to work weekdays, every other weekend, and holidays as needed.
Description:
This position requires a registered nurse with a background in medical-surgical nursing.
The role frequently involves floating to step down and telemetry units.
Travelers must have step down or progressive care experience.
Candidates will work in a 22-bed adult medical-surgical oncology unit.
Expected patient diagnoses include a range of conditions such as wounds, sepsis, pneumonia, diabetes, and end-of-life care.
The unit also handles post-cardiac care cases and patients with cardiac arrhythmias.
Candidates must be familiar with essential nursing skills, including IV management and telemetry monitoring.
The facility has a focus on high patient care ratios and frequent floating.
Candidates must adhere to safety protocols and maintain effective communication with interdisciplinary team members.
Expected responsibilities include providing care, managing medications, and monitoring patients for changes in condition.
Experience with electronic medical records is preferred but not mandatory.
Workers must acknowledge and be comfortable with the high level of patient care and floating between departments.
Candidates with a history of any license or background issues will not be considered.
