Weekend shifts are required every two weeks. ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are mandatory. First-time travelers are not accepted. Experience with EPIC charting system is required. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with patient ratios of 5 is necessary. Candidates should have community hospital experience. LTAC and trauma level I or II experience is preferred. Travel experience is required. Skills in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and cardiac telemetry are essential. Experience in the care of ventilated patients and management of central lines is needed. Knowledge of post-operative care for cardiac and neurosurgery patients is crucial. Candidates should be familiar with monitoring chemotherapy and managing IVs. Candidates must be able to administer and monitor drugs, including cardiac and vasoactive drips, per established protocols. Experience with telemetry and non-invasive airway management is required. The daily census in the unit is around 15 patients. The unit contains 24 beds. Interdisciplinary support is provided from various services.
