# Job Opportunity – Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse – Texas
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio (1:5 on weekends), 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, self-scheduling, floating between units required, no on-call
Highlights:- 29-bed Neuro Telemetry unit in a 379-bed Level II Trauma Center designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Specialized patient population including stroke/TIA, trauma, epilepsy monitoring (4 dedicated EEG beds), and neurosurgical patients (ACDF, TLIF, craniotomy)
- EPIC electronic health record system in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with dedicated mentorship for new caregivers
- Manage cardiac drips (primarily Cardene and Heparin), blood products, central/peripheral lines, and insulin/Heparin protocols with titration capabilities
- Interdisciplinary team support including IV teams, PT/OT/Speech, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
- 12-hour orientation provided; first-time travelers welcome; free employee parking available
Requirements:- Active RN license (Compact license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; at least 1 year of recent acute care experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience with 1:4 patient ratios and telemetry/stepdown/PCU patient populations
- Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response protocols, and non-invasive airway management
- Experience with any charting system required; community hospital and Level II Trauma experience preferred
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Willingness to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
