Epic experience is a hard requirement.
Must have surgical telemetry experience, open heart surgery experience, and vascular management experience.
Floating to like units is required, and flexibility is necessary.
Ability to work every other weekend is required.
Description:
Candidates with previous experience in telemetry, specifically within surgical cardiac telemetry, are encouraged to apply.
The role involves managing patients with myocardial infarctions, pre and post open-heart surgery, and vascular surgery patients.
Experience with coronary artery disease, heart failure, and stroke patients with cardiac involvement is essential.
The nurse will be responsible for telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and providing emergency care such as cardioversion and defibrillation.
The position includes handling IV management, blood product administration, and post-operative care.
Candidates should also be proficient in administering breathing treatments and managing tracheostomy care.
Experience with specialized heart support devices is optional but preferred.
The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment with a patient ratio of 1:4, possibly increasing to 1:5 during night shifts.
The successful candidate will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, physical therapy, and pharmacy.
Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to float between units is critical for meeting patient care needs.
