Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Colorado

Start Date: July 20, 2026
Location: Englewood, Colorado
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; 30-bed unit with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5

  • Diverse case mix including post-catheterization care (right and left heart caths, TAVRs, ablations, pacemaker implantations), post-thoracic surgery (VATs, lobectomies, chest tube management), and pre/post open-heart surgical patients (CABGs, valve replacements, aortic dissection repairs)
  • Advanced equipment and interventions including telemetry, transport monitors, bipap, cpap, heated high-flow oxygen, chest tubes, pacemakers, and various IV drips (heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, dobutamine, milrinone)
  • EMR system: Meditech
  • Collaborative team environment with experienced staff including charge RN, 5-8 RNs, and 2-3 PCTs on night shift
  • Travel nursing assignment with flexible scheduling options
Requirements:
  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 1 year of current acute care Progressive Care Unit (PCU) hospital experience required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
  • Preferred skills: Chest tube management and removal, pacer wire removal, 12-lead EKG interpretation, oxygen management up to bipap and heated high-flow, and experience with cardiac drips
