Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse – Tennessee

Start Date: July 27, 2026

Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; self-scheduling available within staffing balance requirements; schedule finalized 2 weeks in advance; block scheduling available for night shift; 48-hour guarantee

  • Cardiac-focused patient population including post-cardiovascular surgery, MI, heart failure, and complex medical-surgical cases
  • Meditech EMR system with advanced iMobile technology for documentation, secure communication, and specimen collection
  • Equipment includes Welch Allyn dynamaps, Phillips telemetry and monitors, Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Hill-Rom beds
  • Comprehensive drip experience including cardiac medications (Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Cardene, Precedex) with titration responsibilities
  • Strong support staff including unit secretaries and 2-3 PCTs per shift
Requirements:
  • Current RN license in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Cardiac/telemetry experience required
  • Progressive Care Unit and/or critical care experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced skills: IV insertion, chest tube management, DHT insertion/management, tracheostomy care, central line management, EKG interpretation, Foley management, early mobility techniques
  • Experience managing complex patients including sepsis, stroke, DKA, post-cardiac surgery, respiratory failure, and GI bleed
