Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Acute Care – Western North Carolina

Start Date: August 27, 2026

Location: Brevard, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Weekend rotation with 3 Monday and Friday shifts per 6-week schedule; holiday rotation per staffing matrix. Team-Based Care model with collaborative daily rounds including MDs, nurses, case management, pharmacist, and PT/OT.

Highlights:

  • 30-bed Acute Care unit serving medical-surgical to ICU-level patients in a dynamic, multi-acuity environment
  • Patient ratios: SD/ICU 2-4:1; Med-Surg 5-6:1 with PCT support
  • Cerner EMR system with Pyxis medication management
  • Comprehensive skill development including IV starts, CVL, arterial lines, EKG monitoring, Foley catheters, and advanced wound care
  • Equipment proficiency with IV pumps, SCDs, Nova Stat glucometers, wound vacs, Baxter feeding pumps, and lift equipment
  • Collaborative Team-Based Care model with interdisciplinary daily patient rounds

Requirements:

  • Current North Carolina RN license
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification must be completed prior to end of orientation
  • Minimum 1 year medical-surgical experience preferred
  • ICU or Stepdown experience highly preferred
