Description:
This is a travel RN position in the Progressive Care Unit.
The unit has 45 beds and approximately 90 staff members.
Staffing includes a charge nurse and 9-10 RNs on both day and night shifts.
The patient ratios are 4-5 patients per nurse during both shifts.
Key equipment used includes lifts, dynamap, and cardiac monitoring equipment.
The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.
Candidates with cardiac and ICU experience are preferred.
Prior experience with Meditech is a plus.
Typical procedures performed on this unit include cardiac drips and catheter management.
Chest tube management, wound care, and TPN/lipids are also common.
The ideal candidate will be team-oriented with a positive attitude towards staff and providers.
The unit has recently introduced new lift equipment and mobile technology.
