Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN), Neuroscience / Stepdown Unit – Tennessee

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Weekend shifts required; rotating schedule with flexibility options

Highlights:

• 30-bed Neuroscience and Stepdown Unit with 22 acute care beds and 8 stepdown beds
• Patient ratios of 6:1 on acute care side and 4:1 on neuro stepdown
• Work with a variety of equipment including Vapotherm, BiPAP, trachs, high-flow oxygen, chest tubes, and titrating cardiac drips
• Experience managing stroke patients and performing advanced neuroscience procedures such as lumbar punctures and chest tube placements
• Documentation system: Meditech EMR
• Excellent stepping stone for RNs seeking ICU experience

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
• BLS certification required for acute care; BLS and ACLS required for neuro stepdown
• Strong nursing skills, time management, and critical thinking abilities
• Stepdown or progressive care experience preferred for neuro stepdown assignments
• Ability to float after orientation period
