Description:
The role requires floating to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the facility.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:4-5 for PCU and 1:5-6 for MS and MS Tele.
Experience with the Epic charting system is required.
Navy blue scrubs are the designated uniform.
Weekends are required every other weekend, averaging 6 weekends in a 13-week contract.
If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it.
If two major holidays fall in the assignment, both holidays are expected to be worked.
If three major holidays fall in the assignment, two should be worked.
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.
Traveler must have skills in arterial line management, blood product administration, and care for ventilated patients.
Additional required skills include management of dysrhythmias, telemetry, and wound care.
Previous charge experience is preferred.
Experience with community hospital settings is preferred.
