Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Float Pool – Georgia

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week assignment with every other weekend (average 6 weekend shifts per contract). Float pool position requiring flexibility to work across multiple Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care units. Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract.

Highlights:
  • Float pool role supporting Medical-Surgical, MS/Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, Neuro Intermediate, and Progressive Care units
  • Patient ratios: 1:4-5 on PCU units; 1:5-6 on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
  • Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
  • Adult to geriatric patient population with diverse diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, renal, and post-surgical cases
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, lift teams, and rapid response teams
  • 24 hours of orientation provided; first-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience
Requirements:
  • Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, or Progressive Care settings
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6 (MS/Tele) and 1:4-5 (PCU) preferred
  • Strong clinical skills including cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line management, ventilator care, dysrhythmia interpretation, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and wound care
  • Flexibility to float across multiple units and adapt to varying patient populations and acuity levels
  • Willingness to work required holidays based on assignment dates
  • Full compliance documentation required prior to start date
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
