Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role License: Active Florida state license required at the time of employment Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC experience required Description: Registered Nurses are needed in the Progressive Care Unit. The ratio of patients to nurses is 1:5. Weekend shifts are required, which includes every other weekend or a total of 6 shifts in a 6-week period. Nurses may be required to float to different units or locations as needed. Traveler candidates will have a designated home base but may float to other areas. Charges will be managed for patient care activities such as cardiac telemetry and the care of ventilated patients. Additional skills required include managing arterial lines, central lines, and chest tubes. Experience with various patient diagnoses including chest pain, sepsis, and traumatic injuries is essential. Candidates must provide two recent professional references from authority figures. COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are required with the exception of medical or religious exemptions. All candidates are responsible for managing their own submissions. Compliance with all health and safety regulations is mandatory. Potential candidates should be prepared to complete required lab work within a specified timeframe. Modules and training will be conducted during initial orientation and throughout employment. This position requires strong teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
