Description:
This position is for a registered nurse in a progressive care unit.
The unit accommodates 47 beds with a patient ratio of 4-6 depending on acuity.
Typical team composition includes a clinical nurse coordinator and multiple RNs and patient care technicians on night shift.
The unit is equipped with Alaris pumps, a PYXIS machine, Epicardial pacing boxes, and LVAD equipment.
Typical procedures performed include blood transfusions, IV drip titration, pain medication administration, and medication administration.
Candidates should possess a positive attitude, be a team player, and exhibit patient-centered care.
Floating to a medical/surgical unit may be required as needed.
Rotating weekends are expected, with no on-call duties.
