Description:
This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit.
The assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks.
Shifts are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
No on-call duties are required for this role.
The unit has a total of 34 beds and employs 9 nurses along with 4 patient care technicians.
On the day shift, the staffing consists of 1 charge nurse, 9 nurses, and 4 technicians.
On the night shift, the staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 9 nurses, and 4 technicians.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 4:1.
Typical equipment used includes bedside monitors, glucometers, dopplers, standing scales, wheelchairs, and hoyer lifts.
Emergency procedures performed on the unit include chest tube placements, midlines or PICCs, and bedside bronchoscopies.
Candidates should be team-oriented to fit well within the unit's culture.
The dress code requires navy blue tops and pants.
Permanent positions may be available on the unit in the future.
