TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified PCU RN in San Antonio, Texas, 78229!

Job Opportunity – Surgical Progressive Care Unit RN – Texas

Start Date: September 23, 2026

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day shift begins at 0645, night shift begins at 1845. Rotating weekends. Patient ratios 1:4, sometimes 1:5. 32-bed Progressive Care Unit.

Highlights:

  • Surgical PCU specializing in airway procedures (tracheostomy, laryngectomy), bowel resections, pulmonary surgeries, and post-surgical monitoring
  • Experience with telemetry, chest tubes, ostomies, PEG tubes, NG tubes, PCAs, and Kangaroo pumps
  • EMR system: Meditech
  • Collaborative interdisciplinary team environment with daily team rounds
  • Floating may occur to Medical-Surgical units, Medical-Surgical PCU, or ED holds
  • Dress code: Navy blue scrubs

Requirements:

  • Active Texas RN license or compact license
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS or ALS certification required
  • Strong time management and critical thinking skills required
  • Progressive Care Unit experience preferred
  • Tracheostomy care experience preferred
