Description

Job Opportunity – PCU Registered Nurse – Dallas, Texas

Start Date: August 18, 2026
Location: Dallas, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week contract; 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio; 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

  • 24-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac and vascular patient populations
  • Advanced procedures including post-CABG, LVAD, valve repairs, and cardiac catheterization recovery
  • Supportive team environment with dedicated charge nurse and structured staffing model
  • EMR system: Meditech; Equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, telemetry, and mobile technology
  • Bedside procedures such as PICC insertion, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
  • Royal blue scrubs; floating to Med-Surg/Telemetry and Ortho units as needed

Requirements:

  • Active Texas RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
  • Minimum 6 months PCU experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Cardene, Cardizem) required
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
