Description:
This position is in a Progressive Care Unit, which includes 29 beds.
Patient ratios ideally are 1:4 but may currently run 1:5.
Staff in the unit work cohesively and prioritize teamwork.
All staff members float to areas where they have competencies.
The unit utilizes various medical equipment, including IV pumps and vital signs machines.
Documentation is performed using a specific system.
Staff self-schedule, with flexibility for preferences on shifts, including consecutive night shifts.
The role involves frequent assessments of patients and blood glucose checks as required.
