Job Summary:
Pre-Op Registered Nurse position in a facility focused on post-operative assessments and patient preparation. This inpatient role involves supporting patients undergoing general surgery, orthopedics, cardiac, and neurological procedures. The candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive pre-operative care, adhering to clinical protocols, and ensuring patient safety.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience in the specialty of Pre-Op Registered Nursing. Certifications required include BLS and PALS. Valid state license, with a compact license accepted if applicable.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic charting system and inpatient care.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Must be able to work scheduled shifts with start times varying between 0530 and 0600.
- No weekend shifts or holiday rotations are guaranteed; holiday work may be required with prior scheduling.
- RTO requests must be included at the time of submission; no post-offer RTO changes will be considered.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 1-year experience in the specialty, with 3+ years preferred for first-timers.
- Candidates should respond to the pre-submission questions regarding prior work at a similar facility and provide two recent references covering one year within the last three years.
- This role involves inpatient pre-operative assessments, airway assessment, medication reconciliation, patient education, and support with pre-op procedures.
- Commitment to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) is required.
