**Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Nurse in Mother-Baby/Couplet Care!**
**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Registered Nurse
- **Specialty:** Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum
- **Unit:** Mother Baby Unit
- **Shift:**
- Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
- Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
- **Requirements:**
- 1 year of specialty experience required
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Certification: BLS, NRP
- RN License (state or compact)
- **Key Responsibilities:**
- Care for postpartum patients who do not require ICU level of care
- Provide support for high-risk patient populations, including:
- Antepartum patients with fetal monitoring experience
- Newborns who do not require NICU level of care
- **Patient Population:**
- Late Preterm infants
- Substance Exposed Newborns
- Phototherapy needs
- Magnesium, insulin, and heparin drips
- PCA & PCEA pump management
- **Patient Ratios:**
- Typical ratios of 1:3 couplets, or up to 6 patients
- **Additional Information:**
- Float requirements to Antepartum and L&D with fetal monitoring experience
- Weekend availability required as per unit needs
- Call required depending on unit needs
- Charting in Epic
