Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to postpartum patients and newborns in a Mother Baby unit
• Monitor maternal and neonatal status, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, feeding, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate safe, patient-centered care
• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Rhode Island (compact license may apply)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Mother Baby / Postpartum experience
• Documented EPIC EMR experience required
• Flu vaccine required
• COVID-19 vaccine required - no exemptions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume or academic Mother Baby setting
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
• No pending time-off requests during the contract period - candidates without time-off conflicts will be given preference
