TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Postpartum RN in Boston, Massachusetts, 02134!
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns in a Mother Baby unit
Monitor and assess maternal and neonatal status, identifying and responding to changes in condition
Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding support
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate safe and effective patient care
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in Massachusetts or a compact state license accepted in MA
Current BLS certification required
Experience in Mother Baby, Postpartum, or a related maternal-newborn nursing specialty
Ability to work a rotating day/night schedule including every other weekend
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in a high-volume acute care postpartum setting
Familiarity with couplet care (mother-baby nursing)
Strong patient education and communication skills
