Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns in a Mother Baby unit setting
• Monitor and assess maternal and neonatal patients, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Adhere to holiday coverage expectations, including working 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Mother Baby / Postpartum nursing
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume Women's Pavilion or labor and delivery adjacent unit
• Strong patient and family education skills in postpartum and newborn care
