The annual birth volume is approximately 12,000, averaging around 1,000 births per month. There are no call requirements associated with this position. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:4. Occasionally, a 1:2 ratio may apply depending on acuity. Typical procedures performed on the unit include non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, magnesium administration, and heparin drips. Ideal candidates possess excellent communication skills and are team-oriented. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
