ASU/PACU Registered Nurse

Contract (13-Week Assignment) | Full-Time | Days | 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia and ambulatory surgery unit care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions
- Monitor and assess patient status during the post-operative recovery phase, responding promptly to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Participate in a weekend call rotation as part of the standard schedule
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions and discharge readiness
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of two years of experience in an ASU/PACU or Critical Care setting
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced surgical or perioperative environment
- Familiarity with post-anesthesia scoring systems and recovery protocols
- Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills in a high-acuity setting
