    Job Title

    ASU/PACU Registered Nurse

    Location

    York, ME | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13-Week Assignment) | Full-Time | Days | 36 hours per week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide post-anesthesia and ambulatory surgery unit care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions
    • Monitor and assess patient status during the post-operative recovery phase, responding promptly to changes in condition
    • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
    • Participate in a weekend call rotation as part of the standard schedule
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions and discharge readiness
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum of two years of experience in an ASU/PACU or Critical Care setting
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • PALS certification required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in a fast-paced surgical or perioperative environment
    • Familiarity with post-anesthesia scoring systems and recovery protocols
    • Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills in a high-acuity setting
