    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – PACU

    Location

    Santa Monica, CA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | Variable start time between 0900–1100, Monday–Friday, with an average of 6 on-call shifts per six-week schedule period (on-call includes weeknight and weekend coverage)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions in a PACU setting
    • Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, and neurological function during the immediate post-operative period
    • Administer medications and interventions as ordered, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
    • Accurately document patient assessments, care provided, and clinical outcomes using Epic EMR
    • Participate in on-call shifts as required, including weeknight and weekend coverage
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe patient transitions and handoffs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum of 1 year of PACU experience required
    • Current ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS certifications required
    • Willingness and availability to fulfill on-call requirements as scheduled
    • Commitment to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
    • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of candidate submission
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience charting in Epic EMR
    • Experience working in an acute care hospital environment
    • Flexibility to support float needs to nearby sister facilities if required
