Travel RN - PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 10-Hour Rotating Shifts (4 days/week) | 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establishing care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care consistent with nursing standards.
- Reassess patients systematically to identify trends, make comprehensive nursing decisions, and modify the plan of care based on patient outcomes.
- Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning; implement and document timely, appropriate interventions.
- Coordinate team assignments, delegate unit work appropriately, and follow up on delegated tasks for quality and completeness.
- Perform Point of Care testing procedures and maintain compliance with all patient and environmental safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Current PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Availability for 2 weekends of call per month (Saturday/Sunday = 1 weekend) and one night call per week.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system.
- Experience floating to other units within surgical services.
- Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served in a PACU setting.
