    Job Title

    Travel RN – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

    Location

    Santa Fe, NM | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days | 4 x 10-hour rotating shifts (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM) | 2 weekends of on-call per month (Saturday/Sunday = 1 weekend) | One night call per week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establishing priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
    • Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring clinical intervention
    • Develop, implement, and evaluate a measurable, individualized plan of care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care
    • Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of clinical findings and modify the plan of care accordingly
    • Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
    • Float within surgical services as required and perform Point of Care testing procedures; document timely interventions using EPIC EMR
    Required Qualifications
    • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
    • Current New Mexico RN license or active Compact state license
    • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
    • Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
    • Current PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
    • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior PACU or surgical services nursing experience
    • Experience with EPIC EMR
    • National professional nursing certification or advanced nursing education (BSN or MSN)
