Contract | Full-Time | Days | Monday-Friday | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Start times vary (5:00 AM, 7:00 AM, or 8:00 AM) | 6-week schedules provided in advance | No call required
Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative/procedure care for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients across a variety of health care needs and disease processes
• Recognize and respond to symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress and other impending emergencies
• Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and manage patient care during life-threatening emergencies across all populations served
• Review medical history, physical examinations, nursing care plans, and all available assessment data; identify and report abnormal diagnostic findings to the appropriate provider
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in post-operative phase two recovery care, including lead placement and monitoring recommendations based on patient presentation
• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient education and discharge instruction in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Pre-Op or Perioperative nursing (OR experience does not qualify)
• Completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia class with a passing score
• Proficiency with Epic EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in pre- and post-operative diagnostic cath lab settings
• Minimum of 6 months of medical-surgical nursing experience within the last 2 years
