    Key Responsibilities
    • Maintains adequate respiratory and cardiac status of patients awakening from anesthesia through continual assessment and monitoring
    • Regularly assesses patient needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician-authorized plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice
    • Provides direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, responding to call lights and alarms, and assisting with transfers
    • Evaluates the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborates with the care team to update or revise plans using current clinical information
    • Processes and performs physician/provider orders accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
    • Follows up on medication changes and order clarifications to ensure patient safety and continuity of care
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
    • Active Michigan RN license (verified through LARA and/or Nursys) required
    • Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
    • Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification required
    • Current skills checklist (within the last year) pertinent to PACU specialty required
    • Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working with Epic EMR
    • Background in acute care or high-acuity surgical environments
    • Familiarity with post-anesthesia monitoring protocols and advanced patient recovery techniques
