Registered Nurse – PACU / Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (Contract)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM | Days
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for patients in a 10-bed PACU unit within a day surgery setting
- Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio, delivering attentive, high-quality nursing care throughout the recovery process
- Perform and assist with procedures related to orthopedic, neurological, genitourinary, ENT, and gynecological cases
- Operate unit equipment including glucometers, GE monitors, and bladder ultrasound devices
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Collaborate as part of a team that includes a charge nurse and 6–7 nurses per day shift
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of PACU or relevant nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification
- Experience in a day surgery or ambulatory surgical environment
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume unit as a collaborative team player
