Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 10–12 hour shifts (alternating weekly) | Expected 40 hours/week | Shift start 0645 with call requirement
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clinically competent nursing care to patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU)
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions and handoffs
- Maintain compliance with unit protocols, documentation standards, and patient safety requirements
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as required per unit scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a PACU setting
- Experience in endoscopy (ENDO) nursing
