Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Rotating Day/Evening/Night Shifts | Includes Holidays, Weekends, On-Call, and Call-Back as Needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for adult post-operative patients in a high-volume, high-acuity setting
- Monitor and assess patient status following surgical procedures, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center environment
- Maintain direct and effective communication with surgical, anesthesia, and nursing staff
- Work independently while managing a wide variety of post-operative patient presentations
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License – NY license required
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience
- PACU experience required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ICU experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced nursing environment
