    Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 11:00–23:30) | On-Site | 2–3 scheduled weekends per contract

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide pre-operative, Phase I, and Phase II recovery care to adult and pediatric surgical patients across a high-volume, multi-floor surgical department supporting up to 34 operating rooms
    • Support patients undergoing all major surgical services, including endoscopy, interventional radiology, pulmonary lab, cystoscopy, CT/MRI, and ECT procedures
    • Administer and monitor care for patients receiving regional anesthesia and manage post-anesthesia recovery at a 1:2 patient ratio
    • Float to pediatric PACU as needed, providing age-appropriate care across both pediatric and adult populations
    • Operate specialized equipment including Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and AccuVein as required
    • Report as assigned by unit management in the event of a declared emergency, which may include remaining on-site until the event passes or serving as part of a relief team
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU or a directly related specialty
    • Current ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications (AHA-issued certifications required)
    • Proficiency with Epic EMR
    • Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as verified by address on driver's license)
    • Current NURSYS report required with submission (must be dated within 4 weeks of submission date)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Background specifically in PACU or Pre/Post-Op nursing; Critical Care Post-Op experience strongly preferred
    • Experience caring for high-acuity pediatric surgical patients in a pre-op or recovery setting
    • Familiarity with regional anesthesia monitoring and management
