Key Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver nursing care to telemetry and post-operative patients
- Maintain the standards of professional nursing practice throughout all patient interactions
- Monitor cardiac drips, read telemetry monitors, and manage post-surgical cases
- Provide care to adult and geriatric patient populations
- Supervise CNAs, SNAs, and other assigned healthcare support staff
- Collaborate with certified monitor technicians overseeing remote telemetry monitoring
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience
- Stepdown unit experience required
- Experience reading monitors, managing cardiac drips, and handling post-surgical cases
- Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Active Illinois RN License required at time of submission
- BLS/CPR (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- Background in a high-acuity or trauma-level facility environment
- Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring workflows
