    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide Phase 1 and Phase 2 post-anesthesia recovery care for a diverse surgical caseload including total joint replacement, spinal fusion, robotic procedures, brain tumor excision, and elective cardiovascular cases in a 15-cubicle PACU unit
    • Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio; manage critical patients and recover ICU-level patients both in the PACU and at the bedside in the ICU when on call
    • Read and interpret telemetry strips using GE Spacelabs monitoring; demonstrate proficiency with ABGs, ventilator troubleshooting (Bayer vents), and ICP monitors
    • Chart and navigate patient care workflows using Cerner Surginet, including printing and selecting appropriate discharge/aftercare instructions for patient departure
    • Recover pediatric patients (day of birth and older, no neonates) and critically ill patients; collaborate with on-site ICU intensivists and anesthesia available 24/7
    • Participate in a rotational call schedule including weekday call (typically 2 days per week) and weekend call (Saturday night, Sunday day or night)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure in California (or compact eligibility)
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • PALS certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of PACU recovery and/or ICU experience
    • Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently and troubleshoot ventilators
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CPAN or CCRN certification preferred
    • Experience with Cerner Surginet EMR
    • Experience recovering pediatric patients across a broad age range
