    Registered Nurse – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

    Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
    • Manage a patient ratio of 1:4 across a 16-bed PACU unit
    • Care for patients presenting with diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, thoracic, urological, and gynecological surgical conditions
    • Rotate to pre-op as required within the scope of this contract
    • Float to sister facilities within specialty as needed
    • Work assigned holidays and weekends per scheduling cycle (minimum 2 weekends per cycle)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact RN license at time of submission
    • Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required; first-time travelers accepted with 3–5 years of strong PACU experience or 2 years of ICU experience
    • BLS certification (AHA only)
    • ACLS certification (AHA only)
    • PALS certification (AHA only)
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience caring for a broad surgical patient population including cardiothoracic and neurology cases
    • Comfort with floating within specialty and adapting to varying unit needs
    • CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version accepted)
